Crooked Alley KidSpace, the City of Groveport's place just for kids, offers a kid-friendly site for daily arts and education programming, as well as a safe site for your child's next birthday party, Scout meeting or social gathering. KidSpace is not a staffed facility; all inquiries may be made through Groveport Town Hall at 614-836-3333.

Children's Arts & Education Classes


Classes are reasonably priced for the family budget, with many programs offered free of charge. Most classes are designed for children ages 3 - 12, with an enclosed playground offering a kid-sized tree house, slide and climbing equipment. Free preschool programming is offered every Tuesday through Friday at 10 a.m., with education offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, movement and music on Thursdays, and preschool crafts on Friday morning along with preschool reading the third Wednesday of each month. Older children are invited to participate in a wide variety of arts and educational classes, which include guitar, theater, dance and special events. All classes are through registration by calling Groveport Town Hall at 614-836-3333. Advance payment is required. Children age 9 and under must be accompanied by a parent.


CORONAVIRUS UPDATE


Effective March 13, 2020

In order to aid in protecting the health and safety of our residents and our employees, the City of Groveport will be implementing the following closures and suspensions, effective immediately, specifically to help reduce the potential for, or exposure to COVID-19. These temporary closures and suspensions are in effect until the end of March at which point we will reassess as more information becomes available. The City of Groveport will monitor guidance and recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), as well as state and local health officials. 

Town Hall: All programs, classes, and room rentals are temporarily suspended thru March 31, 2020.

• If a person would like a full-refund for a room reservation that has been effected by this, a full-refund will be granted. Persons should contact Kristiauna Trelay (Administrative Assistant) at ktrelay@groveport.org regarding room reservation refunds or contact a staff member at Groveport Town Hall, 614-836-3333.
• In lieu of a refund you may reschedule within 60 days. 


Private Reservations


KidSpace is the ideal site for your child's next birthday party, Scout meeting or gathering.

You'll have the use of the entire facility for your event. Explore the Library with shelves of books for every age. FunSpace, our large multipurpose space, is ideal for birthday parties or special events, offering space for 84 people with tables and chairs, or 180 with theater seating. We'll even provide the tables and chairs.

Party and meeting rooms at Groveport Town Hall and Crooked Alley KidSpace may be reserved for your special event. Usage of facilities is $50 per event for Groveport residents and taxpayers; a larger fee is charged to all non-taxpayers as follows:
$300 per day/per event (under 25 people)
$400 per day/event (between 26-75 people)
$500 per day/event (over 75 people)

A Security Deposit of $100 will be required for both Resident and Nonresidents. Security deposits will be returned if there is no damage and rules are followed. We have the right to withhold the difference in cost for any parties that exceeds attendance indicated on signed contract. Security Deposits Refund: Allow approximately 2-3 weeks to have a refund check sent to listed address above.

All Groveport residents and taxpayers must show a picture ID and proof of taxpayer status to receive usage of facilities for the $50 fee. All renters must also sign in upon arrival and sign out upon departure to confirm attendance at your event.
