On October 9, 2023, the Franklin County Engineer's Office closed Pontius Road at Hayes Road and 1.25 miles north of London & Lancaster Road for bridge replacement and drainage repairs.

The posted detour route for southbound motorists on Pontius Road will follow Hayes Road east to Richardson Road, south to London & Lancaster Road, and west to Pontius Road.  Northbound motorists will follow the detour in the opposite direction.  The Franklin County Engineer's Bridge Department will be performing the work on this project.  

PROJECT UPDATE:  Due to unforeseen conditions in the field, Pontius Road will remain closed until further notice as work continues on the bridge replacement.  As updates are released, they will be posted.
