Toy Road, Swisher Road, Saltzgaber Road and Groveport Road Improvement Project

Improvements to Toy Road, Swisher Road, Saltzgaber Road and Groveport Road are scheduled to begin May 24, 2021. This project involves resurfacing of Toy Road and Swisher Road, along with roadway widening of Groveport Road and Saltzgaber Road. Turn lanes will be added to the widened roadway and drainage will also be improved. Work will continue until spring 2022, weather permitting.

The work is being performed by Shelly & Sands, Inc. The Franklin County Engineer's Office is the lead agency on this project.  Funding is being provided by the Franklin County Motor Vehicle Registration and Gas User Fees, the City of Groveport, Madison Township, Ohio Public Works Commission, Franklin County Transportation Improvement District, and private partners.

At the time of construction, the City of Groveport and the Village of Obetz will have roadway improvement projects occurring in adjacent areas. Please visit and for more information about these projects.

Maintenance of Traffic:

The posted detour route for eastbound motorists on Toy Road will follow Alum Creek Drive north to Groveport Road and east to Saltzgaber Road. Westbound motorists will follow the detour route in the opposite direction.
