On September 21, 2020, construction began on South Hamilton Road at the intersection with Directors Boulevard and Higgins Boulevard. Fall 2020 road construction will occur until early November, 2020, during which time workers will make improvements to the left turn lanes at the intersection along South Hamilton Road, and undertake paving of the road. New traffic signal equipment will be installed in early 2021. Travelers are advised that during daylight hours between 9 am to 4 pm, temporary daily lane closures will be made to allow for construction to occur and for the safety of the workers. The contractor is required to remove the lane closure beyond these hours on a daily basis. Drivers can expect increased congestion and possible delays and should use caution when traveling on South Hamilton Road throughout the construction period. Weather may affect the schedule. Project updates will be posted on the City’s website, www.groveport.org.
Project Update (Oct. 29, 2020) - Paving at the intersection is scheduled to begin the week of November 2, 2020, weather permitting.
Project Update (Dec. 3, 2020) - New lanes are now in use and the orange barrels and construction signs have been removed for the winter months. Construction will resume in early spring to complete the project.
