The City will take bids until Friday, July 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., where they will be opened and read aloud. The work for which proposals are invited consists of the following:
-Removal of existing traffic control signal equipment and installation of new traffic control signal equipment, complete with post and mast arm arrangement, electrical components, signal control equipment, preemption function and other related appurtenances;
-2,900 s.y. of street paving to reconstruct and realign left turn lanes on South Hamilton Road, that includes about 370 c.y. of item 301 asphalt concrete and 210 c.y. of item 441 Asphalt Concrete;
-1,700 s.f. of concrete sidewalk installation;
-1,400 feet of underdrains, storm sewer piping and associated structures;
-Pedestrian control traffic signal equipment and cross-walks; and
-Various pavement striping and signage.
The estimated cost of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications is:
Engineer’s Estimate for Base Bid: $ 720,000.00
Add Alternate No. 1: Work to include an additional 1,345 s.y. of asphalt mill and overlay. The estimated cost of construction for Add Alternate No. 1 is $ 25,000.00.
The project is scheduled to be completed within (270) calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
