Work activities will include pavement repair and asphalt resurfacing, spot curb replacements, and repairs in some areas. Part of this year's street maintenance project will be improvements made on Main Street, from College Street to Delane Road. Spot repairs and curb replacements will be done in various locations on Main Street. In advance of commencing work, the contractor will be placing stakes with placards behind the curbs on streets to be improved. The placards will advise residents of the dates and times of the work, and when on-street/curb-side parking will not be permitted to allow the contractor room to conduct the work. Immediately following paving operation, through traffic may resume. While weather may affect the schedule, it is anticipated that all work will begin as noted above, and continue to late October.
Project Update: Paving continues today through early next week on Main Street and Raver Alley. Crews have finished paving east of Lithopolis Road. More details will be posted as they become available.
Project Update: Resurfacing activities along Main Street will begin Wednesday September 11. Work will occur during business hours over several days. On Main Street, pavement planing will occur 9/11/19 through 9/12/19. Paving activities will occur beginning on Friday 9/13/19 and will continue (including Saturday 9/14/19). Inclement weather or other issues may affect schedule.
Project Update: Crackseal operations will begin the week of September 9th on the following streets: Mohr Avenue, Holton Street, Clark Court, Madison Street, Kessler Street, South Street, Tallman Street (from Main Street to South Street), and Green Pointe Drive North. "No Parking" signs will be placed in the areas affected that will temporarily prohibit curbside parking to allow workers room to complete the work.
Project Update: Improvements to Main Street, from College Street to Delane Road will begin the week of September 3, 2019. The work will include curb replacements/spot repairs in various locations on Main Street. The roadway will be resurfaced in this area following curb replacements. The contractor will periodically prohibit curbside parking to allow them to complete the work. “No Parking” signs will be placed in appropriate areas that will temporarily prohibit curbside parking during work areas. Business owners and residents are advised that at times during the workday, access may be temporarily interrupted for short periods of time due to certain construction activities that may be occurring.
