The City of Groveport is currently building an eligibility list for Police Officer. It is anticipated that 2 positions will be filled in 2019. To be considered for this round of hiring, all testing must be completed by June 10, 2019
Salary Information: Salary is based upon negotiations with Fraternal Order of Police. Current contract ends 06/31/2021; however, as a point of reference, the ranges are:
• Step 1: $56,981.23 ($27.39/hour) – Starting for first year. Second tier lateral hire (at the second pay rate) is at the discretion of the hiring administrator, the Chief of Police and the mayor of the City of Groveport.
• Step 2 through Step 5: $62,576.35 ($30.08/hour) to $79,408.57 ($38.18) – after one year. Based on Anniversary and contractual language.

Upon completion of testing and passing each phase of the process, selected candidates will be notified to complete their backgrounds. This will include information for psychological testing, and a medical physical test if a conditional employment offer is made by the City of Groveport.
