About the Department –

The City of Groveport Engineering Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and inspection of the city’s public infrastructure and developer-driven improvements. The department also prepares layouts for capital improvements (streets, storm, water, facility) and develops, maintains and updates the city’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP), including the planning, plan review, and construction management for transportation, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water distribution projects.

Moreover, engineering staff reviews public records, legal plats, surveys and documents related to annexations, easements, dedications and vacations prior to Council action.

The Engineering Department maintains the City’s street and sidewalk inventory and manages the City’s Stormwater Management Plan and NPDES stormwater program and manages the City’s sanitary sewer Capacity, Management, Operation and Maintenance (CMOM) program.
