Application for Annexation to Groveport should be proposed and filed with the Franklin County Commissioners, through the Franklin County Development Department, in accordance with Section 709.02 to 709.11 inclusive of the Ohio Revised Code.

The Commissioners may refer the description and the map or plat of the territory sought to be annexed, to the Franklin County Engineer for a report upon the accuracy thereof (Ohio Revised Code 709.031). To comply with the above, it is recommended that a preliminary plat and description be submitted to the Franklin County Engineer's Office, 19th Floor of the Franklin County Courthouse, 373 S. High Street, for review. This usually requires three working days depending on the size of the annexation and the number of annexation to be approved. If there are any changes to be made on the description and plat, the Franklin County Engineer's Office will mark them in red ink.
