Party & Meeting Facilities
Groveport Town Hall and Crooked Alley KidSpace may be reserved for personal or business events.
Groveport Town Hall, 648 Main Street, constructed in 1876 as a jointly-owned project of the Village of Groveport, Madison Township, the Masonic Lodge and the Odd Fellows Lodge; previously housed a hardware store, dry good store, the Senior Center and Madison Township offices.
The Town Hall is a three-story historic building offering three rooms for use by the community on the second and third floors. The second floor auditorium and ballroom can accommodate groups up to 115 persons with tables, or 263 people theater-style. Hardwood floors, a full stage with lighting and drapery, and 16’ high pressed tin ceilings create an ideal setting for a wedding or reception, family event or community activity.
On the third floor, two carpeted rooms accommodate groups of 50, with easy availability of restrooms and a kitchenette. An elevator assists guests to the upper floors.
Ample parking is available in the Municipal Parking Lot across the street. Street parking is permitted in designated areas.
A contract will be completed to reserve your room and identify policies for facility usage. Town Hall may be reserved by Groveport residents and businesses free of charge; an hourly fee is charged for use by non-residents and those who work outside the municipal limits. To receive free facility usage, the contract signer must show proof of Groveport residency (Tax District 185) with a photo ID and a second form of identification. A security deposit is no longer collected; however, the contract signer will continue to be legally and financially responsible for all damages incurred by participants of the group and must be present for the duration of the event. Inquiries may be directed to Groveport Town Hall at 836-3333.
The ideal site for your child's next birthday party, Scout meeting or
gathering is Crooked Alley KidSpace, an arts and education center created just for kids. Consider using the Library for a smaller party or meeting up to 17 persons. Child-size chairs, games and toys are available for your use - as well as comfortable chairs for parents - all within the privacy of the center's children's library. Larger parties may wish to use FunSpace, a spacious site that will accommodate 84 people with tables and chairs, or 180 with theatre seating. Bring in your own refreshments! Rent inflatables for the parking lot or inside FunSpace. The Community Affairs staff will help you to create the perfect event.
KidSpace is free to use by Groveport residents and businesses. Rates for non-residents are $25/hour for the Library and $50/hour for FunSpace.
Note: Reservation of tennis courts, the Log House and all park shelters are through Grovep
