Do contractors need to register in the City of Groveport? They do not.
When submitting a permit application, how many copies do I need to submit? Three Copies of each document (other than the application itself) will be required.
How can I verify that a property is officially located in the City of Groveport? If you have the parcel number and it begins with 185 this is the City of Groveport. If you would not have the parcel number the Franklin County Auditors office is a great source. Our office is always available for a call 614-830-2045.
How long does plan review process typically take to complete? Commercial Plans will take from three to five business weeks, residential plans will take from seven to ten days (if able to review in house)
What is the latest time I can call in for an inspection? We accept inspection calls up to 9:00 A.M. that day. Keep in mind that electrical inspections are only done Monday through Thursday.
What is the process for reporting on neighbor nuisances such as high grass, etc.? The Building & Zoning Department can be reached at (614) 830-2045.
Where can I find permit applications on the City's Website? These permits will be located under City Departments, Building and Zoning and you will then see Applications and Fees
What types of payment does the City accept for permits? We are currently accepting Visa, Master Card, Check, Money Order and cash.
To whom should the check be made payable? Check or Money Order can be made out to The City of Groveport.
Where can I dispose of hazardous waste or used oil? Please visit the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio's (SWACO) Website -- www.swaco.org -- for hazardous waste information and disposal locations and hours.
